An activity and a party room in one booking
Markham parents planning a birthday usually end up juggling two bookings: an activity to keep the kids busy and a room where everyone can eat cake. At Lazer Runner those come together. Each package pairs two private laser tag games with a private party room for 1 hour 50 minutes, so the whole celebration happens under one roof at 2 Allaura Blvd, Unit 10 in Aurora.
That matters when you are coordinating parents, presents and pizza. You make one reservation, pay one deposit and send guests to one address. Families from Uxbridge planning a party can follow the same steps on this page.
We always have people visiting from Uxbridge, and a party booked from there runs exactly like any other party described here.
What sets a laser tag party apart from a craft or play space
Markham has no shortage of painting studios and play centres, and they suit some children well. Laser tag answers a different request: kids who want to run, hide, team up and keep score. The arena is filled with swirling fog, energetic music, special-effects lighting and obstacles around every corner, and players move through it in fibre-optic vests with a phaser in hand.
Two private games mean the arena belongs to your group during play. No strangers join your teams, and staff can switch modes between rounds so the second game feels new. The seven modes include Team Capture and Vampire Game for team play, plus Individual Play for kids who want to compete on their own.
Small group or big group: how the price works
Package prices are built around 10 players. A party of 6 still pays the 10-player price, so it pays to fill those spots. Larger groups add each extra player at a fixed rate, which makes budgeting simple:
- A 12-player Special on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday: $290 plus 2 extra players at $26, for $342 + HST.
- A 12-player VIP on a weekday: $390 plus 2 extra players at $33, for $456 + HST.
- The same parties on a weekend start at $320 or $420, with extra players at $29 or $37.
The VIP is worth a look when the group is hungry. It doubles the pizza to 24 slices, adds 10 juice packs to the 10 waters and brings plates, forks and napkins for the cake.
Keeping guests busy between the two games
Most of the party happens in two places: the arena and the private room. When kids step out between games they can try the arcade games on site, including Air Hockey, Super Car, Super Bike and Aliens Armageddon Shooting. Parents can use that time to set out the food and get the candles ready.
Players must be 6 or older to wear a vest. If a Markham family is bringing a toddler or preschooler, that child can stay with an adult on the arena floor for free without a vest, so younger siblings are not left out of the photos.
A checklist Markham parents can work from
- Pick the Special or VIP and a date, then pay the non-refundable deposit online.
- Send the invitation card or print a boy’s or girl’s invitation from the party packages page.
- Ask every guest’s parent to sign the waiver before party day.
- Pack nut-free extras, the cake, a knife and a lighter.
- Plan to arrive 10 minutes before your start time, with every player there by the start.
