Laser Tag Near Newmarket

Newmarket parents know how tough it can be to find entertainment that genuinely impresses kids, teens and adults, something beyond the usual soft-play and movie night rotation. Lazer Runner, one of Ontario’s largest laser tag arenas, sits just minutes south of Newmarket at 2 Allaura Blvd #10, Aurora. It’s the closest full-scale laser tag venue to Newmarket, and it’s become the birthday party and indoor activity destination for families across southern York Region. Swirling fog, fibre-optic vests, seven game modes, and a big arena floor, this is what kids in Newmarket have been asking for.

An arena built for kids, teens and adults

Lazer Runner’s arena uses special-effects lighting, energetic music, and rolling fog to create an immersive environment that’s nothing like a backyard game. Advanced fibre-optic vests and phasers fit every body type, from a six-year-old on their first game to a fifteen-year-old who’s been plotting strategy the whole drive down from Newmarket.

Seven game modes, Team Capture, Vampire Game, Team Play, You’re IT, Eliminator, Switcher, and Individual Play, keep every visit fresh. Staff adjust shots, lives, game time, and handicap settings so grades two through nine can play in the same session without it feeling one-sided. Arcade games and air hockey are on site between rounds.

Frequently Asked Questions: Children’s Entertainment Newmarket

How long does a laser tag game last at Lazer Runner?

Each individual game session is 20 minutes of active play on the arena floor. The Double Game option gives you two back-to-back sessions (40 minutes total), and the 3-Game option is 60 minutes. For birthday parties, the two private games are included within your 1 hour 50 minute room booking, so there’s plenty of time for playing, eating, and celebrating.

Is Lazer Runner a good birthday venue for a mixed-age group of Newmarket kids?

Yes. Staff adjust lives, shot limits, and handicaps so wide age gaps don’t unbalance the game. Vests fit children and adults alike, and under-6s can join free with a participating adult. Most Newmarket birthday groups span grades 1 through 8 without any problem.

Do I need to book in advance or can my Newmarket family just show up?

Walk-ins are welcome Tuesday through Sunday, just arrive 10 minutes before the session you’d like to join. If your group has more than six people, it’s worth reserving in advance so everyone gets in together. Birthday parties and school field trips always require advance booking and a deposit.
